Italy’s wine landscape is vast and endlessly exciting, boasting 20 regions and over 500 native grapes. To help enthusiasts navigate this complexity, Italian wine experts Chan Wai Xin and Jessica Anne Tan led Wine Safari Italia: Taste Without Labels masterclass at Grape Escape 2025. This immersive blind tasting adventure removed all labels and preconceptions, encouraging participants to let their senses guide them through a curated flight of six native Italian grapes.

Along the journey, attendees uncovered the rich stories behind the wines while sharpening their palates in a fun, bias-free environment. The masterclass culminated in a highly anticipated reveal of the six wines, garnering overwhelmingly positive feedback from the 35 participants who praised the engaging and educational format.
